Who we are
We are Strange Cat, a jazz quintet who came together in London in 2025 with a shared love of music that makes people move. Drawing from jazz, funk, and rhythmic traditions, we play energetic and danceable tunes with a sound that's as fun to watch as it is to listen to.
Our inspiration
We are inspired by greats like Herbie Hancock & Art Blakey, as well as more recent names like Jon Batiste, Cory Henry, and Red Snapper.
Our origins
We met in London in 2025, coming from all walks of life and musical backgrounds, but united by a shared love of music that makes people move.
